WHY STUDY CHEMISTRY

For prospective students

The Chemistry Department is one of the departments at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of the University of Banja Luka. We are engaged in the education of experts from various fields of chemistry and chemistry teaching. Our vision is a society and community based on knowledge and education, and we contribute to this by achieving the best conditions for our students, constant communication with primary and secondary schools, cooperation with industry and other employers for our graduates, international projects and exchange, and visits of eminent professors and scientists from the WB countries, Europe and the world. We proudly point out that our Chemistry Team has won the award for achievements in the field of science for the third year in a row, awarded by the Ministry of Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and Information Society in the Government of the Republic of Srpska. Our final year and master students have the opportunity to join teams and do internships within national and international projects, and enroll in PhD studies at well-known and prestigious world universities. We have recently launched several new laboratories and equipped them with modern equipment. Today, our students of both cycles are trained and perform their final works on the latest instruments in the field of chemistry. At the same time, we are working on meeting all the necessary standards in order to start PhD studies in Chemistry at our faculty as soon as possible. Welcome!
