Professor of Biochemistry and Doctor of Chemical Sciences in the field of biochemistry. The main goal of the research so far is based on the idea of understanding the importance of balance in the production and removal of free radicals and their role in achieving and maintaining redox homeostasis of the organism. Within national and international projects in recent years her research interest was focused on the role of free radicals in the pathophysiology of ischemic conditions and diseases. The subject of research are toxic effects caused by xenobiotics (drugs, pesticides, heavy metals) in human, animal and plant organisms as well as the role of antioxidants (plant secondary metabolites and vitamins) in protecting from various diseases and abiotic stress.
