Faculty members and associates from the Chemistry Department at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, University of Banja Luka, Prof. Dijana Jelić, PhD, Prof. Biljana Davidović-Plavšić, PhD, Prof. Dragana Blagojević, PhD, Prof. Zvjezdana Sandić, PhD, and Dragana Gajić, MA, successfully presented their research at the 6th International Congress of Chemists and Chemical Engineers of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ICCCEB&H 2026), held in Sarajevo from 24 to 27 June 2026.
The Congress brought together researchers, academics, and professionals in the fields of chemistry, chemical engineering, and related scientific disciplines, providing an excellent opportunity to exchange the latest scientific knowledge and establish new collaborations. This year’s event welcomed more than 120 scientists and experts from Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad, who presented their latest achievements in various areas of chemistry through plenary lectures, oral presentations, and poster sessions.
Faculty members and associates from the Chemistry Department contributed to the Congress by presenting two poster papers: “Effect of Different Extraction Methods on the Phenolic Compound Concentration and Antioxidant Capacity of Achillea millefolium L. Aerial Parts”and “Determination of Selected Physicochemical Parameters and Heavy Metal Content in Honey Samples.” The research was carried out in collaboration with Prof. Dijana Mihajlović, PhD, from the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Banja Luka, as well as first- and second-cycle students of the Chemistry Study Program, Tijana Kremenović and Nina Savić.
